On Monday, June 29th, a Passout Parade was held at Newtown Fire Station to celebrate the achievements of the latest cohort of On-Call Firefighters.
The ceremony brought together family, friends and Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service (MAWWFRS) personnel to celebrate the amazing achievements of the five individuals who have completed weeks of rigorous training and are now beginning their On-Call careers, serving the communities of Mid and West Wales.
The new recruits performed a series of drill yard displays to highlight the emergency response skills each new crew member has developed, followed by a presentation of certificates.
Each Firefighter is now fully prepared and equipped to start their On-Call careers at their local Fire Stations, where they will each continue their development while playing an essential role in emergency response and prevention work to keep their communities safe.
Congratulations and a welcome to MAWWFRS!
