On Monday, 1st June, a Pass Out Parade was held at Earlswood Training Centre to celebrate the achievements of our latest group of On-Call Firefighters, who are now ready to support and protect communities across Mid and West Wales.

The ceremony brought together family, friends and Fire Service personnel to recognise the dedication and commitment of five individuals who have completed weeks of intensive training. As they begin their careers as On-Call Firefighters, they will provide vital support to their local Fire Stations and the communities they serve.

During the parade, the new recruits took part in a series of drill yard displays, demonstrating the emergency response skills they have developed throughout their training. The event concluded with the presentation of certificates in recognition of their achievement.

In their new roles, these Firefighters will play an important part in responding to emergencies, supporting prevention activity and helping to keep people safe in the communities where they live and work.

Congratulations to all of our new recruits, and welcome to the team.

The role of an On-Call Firefighter provides many opportunities for personal and professional development, through training, teamwork, leadership and problem solving.  On-Call Firefighters receive payment for their services, including retainer fees and call-out payments, supplementing their income from other employment.
