At 10.59am on Monday, September 29th, the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service crew from Carmarthen Fire Station was called to an incident near Ffynnon-ddrain.
The crew responded to a road traffic collision involving one heavy goods vehicle milk tanker carrying approximately 28,000 litres of milk. The tanker had left the roadway and travelled down an embankment. Crew members were involved in stopping milk from leaving the tanker and making the scene safe. The vehicle’s driver was treated at the scene by Ambulance Service personnel and conveyed to hospital by road ambulance.
This incident required a multi-agency response, with Dyfed-Powys Police, the Ambulance Service, the Highways Department and the Local Authority also in attendance.
The crew left the scene at 12.43pm.
