At 2.41pm on Saturday, October 4th, the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service crews from Swansea Central, Glynneath and Pontardawe Fire Stations were called to an incident near Henrhyd Falls.
Crews responded to two casualties that had fallen while walking. One casualty was rescued with no suspected injuries, while the other casualty had fallen approximately 40 metres down a ravine. The casualty was rescued through a combination of line rescue retrieval and wading equipment line rescue systems. The casualty was then conveyed to hospital by Air Ambulance.
This incident required a multi-agency response, with Dyfed-Powys Police, Mountain Rescue, the Hazardous Area Response Team, the Ambulance Service and Air Ambulance also in attendance.
Fire and Rescue Service crews left the scene 7.04pm.
